Big drops of water is a class designed for engine nerds covers all things engine. From attack methods, estimating the stretch, working lengths, droplet size and everything in between. This class will dispel myths and work to have students gain a better understanding how to perform fire attack, their water delivery system, and how to be the most effective engine company they can. Tried and true strategies and tactics will be discussed and firefighters of all levels will gain a better understanding of which lines to pull and when and where to flow water. As Andy Fredericks said “even on the high-tech battlefield of today it is the soldier and his rifle that still makes the difference in wartime…the firefighter and his nozzle will continue to be the difference between life and death”. We will pay tribute to “the godfather of engine company operations” and continue to live out his dreams and wishes of being smart, educated, aggressive engine company fireman.
